Dr Joy Yee is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD) and consultant dermatologist at The Alfred Hospital and The Skin Health Institute (formally known as the Skin and Cancer Foundation. She received her comprehensive specialist training through the Victorian faculty, working at the majority of Victorian public tertiary hospitals, including The Royal Melbourne Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital, The Alfred Hospital, Austin Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital, and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (VCCC).
She graduated with Honours in medical school (M.B.B.S., Hons) from the University of Tasmania, achieving the Dean’s role of excellence and membership in the Golden Key International Honour Society. Prior to specialty training, Joy worked at the Royal Melbourne Hospital as a physician trainee and dermatology clinical fellow, running clinical trials in psoriasis.
Joy has wide interests in all adult and pediatric skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, acne, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and skin cancers, including surgical treatments. She enjoys working in rural clinics, medical relief work (Cambodia most recently), and teaching at workshops for the wider medical community. She is passionate about providing evidence-based and comprehensive, tailored care to all her patients.
